This is a great deal for a RTF package, there is no denying it. If you buy this and get into the hobby though, be prepared to re-buy everything in this package. You will build multiple quads (we all end up doing it), and you will end up buying a Taranis radio (another thing everyone ends up doing.) However, it's pretty impossible to find a better deal that can get you in the air right away. I proper home-built set up will likely be better, but also will cost $600-700 for the equivalent set of parts. I heard that this quad flies pretty well, but I haven't tried it. Do take the advice of others and buy tons of props. DAL makes some pretty durable ones. Just keep in mind that if you throw on tri-blades, you may hit the amperage limit for your ESCs.
Edit: It comes with a 3S 2200mAh battery that's only 25C. So the battery will only provide about 54amps maximum discharge, so it should be fine with what are probably 12-16A ESCs. Do note that the battery is not exactly a racing battery, so will fly slower with it. You could use a smaller and higher discharge battery, but make sure you don't end up pulling enough amperage that you fry the electronics.
Edit 2: Yep, they're 15A ESCs, so keep the sustained load under 15A per motor, or 60A overall. If you get a 1300mAh battery to go faster, a C rating of 40-45 is ideal. Something like the Turnigy Nano-tech 45-90C batteries may be good (average level quality battery, but good and cheap).
