What's going on? Seem like a good deal, where are the drone guys?

LeftyisthebestI think it's a great deal, still trying to figure some things out about the capabilities though. Trying to figure out if you can manually position the gimbal using the remote, if the included FPV transmitter will still work if you swap the iLook+ for a GoPro, and also if there are any speed or altitude limits programmed directly into the quad's firmware, as we will be using this in some areas out of the country where the FAA's regulations on altitude and speed no longer apply. I do know you can change some of the values for the flight controller using the flight plan software, but I haven't found a comprehensive list of those values.
If anybody could help answer a few of these questions, that would be great!

CyleleghornHi! I have had the same questions! After conducting research
Yes you can still use fpv with a GoPro
Yes you can adjust the gimbal via remote, there are rotating circle like buttons next to the thumb controls
And I'm not sure about altitude, but there are many speed tests on YouTube for this drone. Hope this helps
Buyer beware : this drone comes with a warranty; but I have been seeing many reviews about it falling out of the sky and literally flying away. Not sure if this happens to just a select few kits, but I would put in some more research before buying

Awkwardpigeon23It's the 3g gimbal so only tilt and pitch on gimbal as function from transmitter, you need the new gimbal for having x y z movement

backman8571So Massdrop wasn't wrong when they said the gimbal corrects for all three pitch, roll, and yaw.. But we can only direct two of those from the controller? By tilt do you mean roll? If so, honestly that's fine with because the yaw control on the quad is very smooth compared to pitch and roll, and if you combine that with IOC mode I believe you could make sweeping pan shots with ease

CyleleghornYou need the version called G3D that you have a 360 pan also plus pitch and tilt

Awkwardpigeon23Thanks for your research! And yes I had already found the "top speed" of the drone but I was wondering if that was by design or if it is just all the motors/props can push. I know that some drones come with many limitations built into the programming such as angle, speed, and altitude limiters. I didn't know if maybe one of those limiters was the cause for this speed limit or not. I would like for this quad to be able to do at least 50mph, but I guess I can either upgrade it or buy another one once I have some more cash.
I am curious to see if the 45 degree limitation is removed, if we could get more speed out of this thing before it begins to lose altitude from excessive bank, but I think the correct way to get more speed is with more powerful motors and more aggressive props. Some of the 25 minute flight time would be sacrificed but honestly that is a crazy flight time anyways, and more flight time is what extra batteries are for am I right?

Awkwardpigeon23I've read the same thing about the fly aways... although thouse might be a little dated (2014/15?), I've also read that changing the gps for a gps/glonass module would fix it. Curiously, I've found an official "Walkera Scout X4 FPV GPS Fixing Accessory Scout X4-Z-07", anybody know what it is for? or if it fixes the gps assist problems? (and if so, why it is not included in the package?, if it is not included)
