Former salesman Lewis Edson Waterman wanted to make a more reliable fountain pen—he founded his namesake company in 1884 after losing a big sale with client because of a pen that leaked. More than 130 years later, Waterman continues to make dependable writing instruments with inventive features and French-inspired elegance Read More
I have been looking at this pen for years but have never seen it available with an oblique nib before. I opted for OB and I must say it was a great decision! The pen writes so smoothly and gives my handwriting just enough extra flair to look “fancy!” I recommend it to anyone who wants a high quality pen at an affordable price.
I purchased this in black & silver. Very satisfied with the look, build and performance of this pen. It has both heft and smoothness ( Fine nib ) that makes me reach out to this over my Pelikan M200. By comparison, the latter is scratchy and light.
A really lovely pen and one of my nicest. Elegantly shaped, just the right weight, wonderfully balanced and an excellent writer, the Carene will be seeing a lot of use for years to come.
Nicest pen I've ever purchased. It's my daily writer in the office and always get compliments. From the beautiful black/gold accents to the unique nib to the perfect weight (not light like a resin pen, but not too heavy either) this pen is a winner!
The Waterman Carene Black Sea Fountain Pen is the sleekest, most stylish fountain pen I own. I love the way the nip sits on the pen, and the overall weight of it. It writes smoothly, and looks great sticking out of my pocket!
