With smooth, angular lines and a cockpit-like cutout at the top of the blade, the WE Knife 616 "Resonance" folder resembles a speedboat cutting through the water. It features a tanto blade made from Bohler M390 stainless steel—a fine-grained, easy-to-sharpen alloy that’s extremely resistant to wear and corrosion. Perhaps most notable about the blade is its rounded tanto shape—as opposed to the standard tanto, which dramatically cuts upward between the primary and secondary edge. To deploy it, use the built-in flipper. Once you overcome the detent, the blade snaps open in a jiff, locking in place with the frame lock.

Aside from the blade, nearly everything else on this sturdy folder is made from 6AL4V titanium—from handle to clip, screws and backspacer. Parallel grooves on the handle ascend like steps up a staircase, providing extra grip. The spine is jimped for control during detail work and tough cutting tasks. Use the tip-up pocket clip for convenient carry on the move.
