When i was going through BUD/S to become a Navy SEAL and they were having us ride boats over waves and swimming underwater for miles and practicing shore raids, i didn't need my swim fins or cammies. I needed this pen. I'm lucky they gifted one to me at graduation. I hold it in higher regard than my my actual SEAL pin. I'm happy MD is offering such tactical stuff to mere civilians now.

Of course I absolutely require a tactical pen for all the tactical pen things I do day to day. Tragically however, I notice that this particular pen is not truly tactical, as is neither molle compatible, nor does it have any picatinny rail for all of my tactical pen attachments, so I am afraid I will have to pass on this one.

I'd buy the daylights out of this for maybe $20-30. But $66 is just ludicrous. It's a flipping pen for tacticool nerds. Not an actual piece of milspec gear. Pretty sure US military just uses plain old Bics.

Calaverasgrandeactually they are skilcraft and they suck, or if you are lucky your unit orders a bunch of rite in the rain stuff and you have those pens.

I had to return my pen because it would not withdraw the refill. You could shake the pen and you could hear a chip rattling around in the cavity behind the plunger. This is another example of me experiencing poor WE quality control. Obviously there was a chip stuck in there from the manufacturing process. I have read the rave reviews about WE manufactured products but I have had to return the most WE manufactured products on MD than any other manufacturers' products I have purchased on MD. I am really being forced to stay away from WE made items because I have had poor luck with almost every one of their items and not so with their Chinese competitors. I am a mechanical engineer and truthfully do not feel this company manufactures to high standards, while their designs are interesting their quality control is nonexistent.

fhoodThis pen would not be the first (or second, or third) choice for combat. Or for writing. I have far better options for both.
