I bought mine a year or so ago and I have to say, they ae just about perfect! No humps or bumps or dips in frequency response. Cable has no microphonic once it's worn "over-ear". I use Comply P-Series and they seal reliably and easily, without even having to pinch them. I bought them from daqonline.co.uk where they're currently £280. Currently the UK exchange rate makes this drop £253

davehutchAre they this re-tuned model of the Japanese Westone 30s, the original Japanese Westone 30s or just W30s?

zakalweAs I bought them a year ago, they are clearly not this edition and I did't know there was a Japanese version of this US manufacturer's IEMS?! I wouldn't buy anything that had a deliberate "bump" in the bass frequencies like this one.

davehutchIt's funny. Personally I think that's just what most BA driver IEMs need. Different strokes...

zakalweThese are no different than the Japanese 30. They more closely relate back to the Westone 3 than the W30.

davehutchEverything is deliberate when it comes to the sound signature and frequencies of an IEM. You can't just tune an IEM to be flat because insertion loss and canal resonance will ultimately destroy the sound by the time it gets to your eardrum. Also, when you talk about a bump in the bass from a BA driver it is not the same as if you were to say that for cans or dynamic drivers. This "bump" just gives the overall sound a warmer feel than a W30.

SilentReignSorry to hound you on this: any chance you could answer warranty questions and some other stuff more definitively... being asked at the top of the thread by people. No worries if not. Thanks
