just curious. How long is the warranty? And do we contact directly with Westone or Massdrop in case of warranty?

King8888It's usually manufacturer's warranty first, and if they don't cover it you ask MD support. The warranty for Westone is 2 years (if that hasn't changed) as long as you register them and they consider MD an authorized dealer. Edit: See comments below by SilentReign.

King8888Two year warranty on Westone Products and they do not need to be sent out of the country as they are made here in Colorado Springs. This is a product made by Westone and Westone is the manufacturer working with MD to deliver this product so it is authorized and Westone will fully support this product's warranty.

SilentReignMassdrop needs to get you some of that official flair, since clearly you *do* work for Westone.

demizeI do and haven't tried to hide it. I know the products well but I don't manage sales or support. Just trying to answer the questions I've seen about the product being that they haven't had official English reviews.

SilentReignHow would you compare these to the W40?

woodensandalSimilar sound stage although a little more closed in but better low end. I prefer the W40 with classical and acoustic music and similar but I love these with alternative and Country when I want to feel the kick drum. You should know that I'm a wannabe audiophile and would never call myself an expert but I have the benefit of being surrounded by them.

SilentReignThank you for your reply, it's much appreciated. Do you find your ears tiring with these in longer listening sessions?

woodensandalThis is a question I am more than happy to answer because it is truly a benefit to Westone products. The twin brothers that invented the BA IEM have been with Westone and just celebrated their 37th anniversary at the company used to grind earmolds. Anyone who knows them knows that they keep crazy logs of everything they do. Before making their first IEM they recorded grinding over 500,000 earmolds together. They kept thousands of earmolds from around the world and scanned them to know the best shape to fit in the ear. That's why so many companies copy our universal style. I recently took a 15 hour flight from San Francisco to Hong Kong and put these in. After falling asleep and much listening I took them out 10 hours later with no ear fatigue. I love the fit. Word of advise is to spend time deciding which tip size works the best. It makes all the difference.

SilentReignI wasn't accusing you of being sneaky or anything. You've definitely been a great help to people in this drop, and I think you should have the blue text under your name to give some more authority to what you're saying.

SilentReignYep. Agreed. Westone are involved with Massdrop, they/you should definitely have a voice. There is enough misinformation from certain people....and your solid input might make a difference - to sales and intangibles.
