mine started to having connectivity issues after about 2 weeks. : /
After using these for about 2 months, I really don't like the stock cable. I'm not sure if there is any memory wire, but I have a hard time keeping the wire from flaring off my ear rather than just having them wraparound like I do with my Shures. Even with the pre-shaped guide I still have trouble keeping them curved around my ear.

Used mined almost daily from the drop, my job involves a lot of outdoor walking, sound great with the foam tips although I do have to triple look crossing a road! I picked up a cable on ebay for about £22(less a £10 voucher they mailed me) delivered, still a bit stiff but it removed the control block which hindered my round the ear use.
Mine have already broken - sound cuts in and out everytime the cable moves. I think something in the jack has broken. Who do I speak to about warranty/refund?
@Danny_Liu what should I do about this?
heeem
I have the same problem.
Have had these a day now. Compared to my cheap Philips SHE9800 (£13.99) these are slightly less sensitive which is an issue, the treble has minimal presence, but seems better quality, but I can't get a good fit that stays well in the ear like the Philips do. The MMCX connectors are nice to have, I might retro-fit some to the Philips as I've repaired the cable about 6 times now and the heatshrunk parts are starting to stick out at funny angles! The cable is ok, too long to the split but with the buttons too near the earpiece, and the braiding doesn't seem to reduce the microphonics much.
These are my first that support Over-the-ear but I haven't found a tip+angle that makes this comfy yet, and the tonal difference while in the wrong place is quite large.
have just received a customs charge notice for £13.75 (UK delivery).
What the ****?
There is zero mention of customs charges in any emails sent to me from Massdrop, and there is no indication of customs charges at the checkout screen.
This has just increased the cost of this item by 40%!!!
Miff
Customs are your country's responsibilities, Miff. In Canada, items over $25 can arrive with custom fees, but in this case I got lucky and didn't pay any.
Microtom
though this is true, these amounts are known and could at least be hinted at when purchasing. I have bought many items over the years from non-EU sources and have never had a customs charge, though I suspect the few of applicable cost were marked as a gift. When I have bought expensive items from USA through ebay, the total I pay includes all charges. There is no reason why this functionality couldn't be part of the Massdrop checkout, and might even have saved me £8 in "handling charge" if the import tax had been pre-paid.
Received mine today. The cable doesn't work on the side that has the volume control... It's a cheap cable for sure and I'd expect yours to break eventually.
The earphones work, though, but can't say much about the quality.
Not big on the foam tips myself, but the ones that were standard fit well for me. It's a well appointed kit and better accessorized than any of the Shures (E3, SE215) that I have owned.
Ditto about receiving them the 28th, and pleasantly surprised at how quickly they shipped. I have to agree about build quality - these feel very durable, and they seem to have heavily reinforced the points that get the most flex and sweat. Sound quality was quite a bit better than I expected, but the fit is very nuanced. To get the best sound, you've really got to find the right tips for your ear shape. I was convinced that the right bud was underpowered until I adjusted the fit with the foam tip.
Also received mine on 28 August. Was not expecting it that quickly either.
I recieved the earphone today. August 28th in the morning. Its faster than i expected
Not very happy about the long wait. I expected this to ship the day after the drop!

You obviously haven't joined a drop on here - it takes a while for the vendor Massdrop got the deal from to send out the one large order to each individual.
Great news group! We placed the order for the Westone Adventure Series Beta Earphones shortly after the drop ended.
Our vendor will be preparing it for shipment.
The moment we receive confirmation regarding the shipping schedule from the vendor, we will provide you all with updated information.
Expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 9/1 or sooner if something comes up.

Hello, when the shiping starts to Europe?
How do you think these will sound if I'm mostly listening to audio books while out riding my road bike?
Remedy
I'd go for something else personally. The mids are a bit muddled/recessed/too laid back. The bass would make it sound unclear imo.
I heard that these do not last in sweaty condition VIA amazon, is this true? I do not want a ear bud that will burn out in 3 days. I am currently out of shape so it would be a while before I'll be jogging a mile but I tend to air on the side of caution especially when I only got 6-8 months out of my pair of $33 Narmoo S1's (the left earpiece is starting to diminish volume)
Were would I buy replacement cable for these? Does the connector have a name? Is it something standard?
Microtom
Every MMCX cable will work on these. You can get them from many brands or eBay.
How do these compare to the oskrys that just got dropped?

Never heard these Westones but own the Ostrys. I'd be very hard pressed that the Westones would approach it (overratted/overpriced Westies don't get good until you really ramp up in price with this brand). For comparison, I own some very expensive highly rated in-ears and as such, IMHO the Ostrys are an unapproachable bang/buck until you markedly go up in price. They're that good.

So, you recommend Ostry or Westone?
How do your shipping charges work? If i buy 20 pieces what would be the shipping cost to australia?

Thank you very much @ Shure Thing
Hey! So I totally fell off the map there, sorry about that - can we continue via email? I'm rtguzowski (AT) gmail.com
They're perfect for tuning out and overpowering the dudes grunting in the gym but music enjoyment enthusiasts will be disappointed.

No I don't want it !!!! I buy stupid IEMs unecessarily just because I want to try em out.. listen for 1-2 weeks, then in the drawer they go.. lol, I'm actually trying to offset/downsize my collection to 1-2 IEMs. I got my molds ready for the 1964Ears V3 (but I heard they're making a new triple driver custom.. so I may wait for it). No more universal IEMs, I'm done!

Sounds like a gateway for the JH Audio Roxannes or the Ultimate Ears UE11's. ^_^
How do these compare to RHA MA750 or XBA C10ip or ATH IM50? I usually prefer flatter frequency response curves but if the sound is detailed enough and separable that's good too.
Kloryc
These are definitely not tuned to be flat.. they showcase the bass for sure. After all.. the design is for active, on the go, outdoor listening. I've been using them running, biking, and working out.. absolutely fantastic build and sweat resistance. If you're looking for a critical listening IEM, definitely not for you.
These are mad bassy. Just look up the frequency response curves on Goldenears or InnerFidelity. They are kind of obnoxious for listening to at home or at the library, but they do work great outdoors or when you're being active - and in the end that's what they're designed for.
Hullo guys, I have one question that's really on the forefront of my mind : how does the "sound quality" (and please forgive my abysmal use of terms.. I'm new to the game of "enjoying good audio") and frequency response compare to something like the Jaybird Bluebuds X? I'm really interested in getting the latter but they cost almost twice as much (even while 'Dropped).
If this can be a good replacement for casual and outdoor IEMs, I think I'll be getting on board.
erdman
I have both, I prefer the jaybirds in terms of sound better. I am no audiophile so my experience is that these sound more muffled. And I've ruined these and the alphas just from getting sprinkled with water in 10k+ runs... so yea...
porndealer
Thanks, thats a great description which doubles as advice ;) Don't think I'll be getting them then, which suits me fine as I just happen to need to save money xD
i've been using them for over three months now. I own these, shure se215 and the Klipsch s4i rugged. I keep going back to these for some reason.
The build is phenomenal by the way.
for Americans it's cheaper on buydig.com $60 w/$30 rebate no shipping and no tax for most

Is that deal available for international customers?
Jusion
Not sure, check the site for their intl options.
How do these compare to VSonic GR07?
Just bought this literally 2 days ago.. lol
Traveling to SC on a mountain hiking/camping business trip 2 weeks from now.
Too bad the timing for MD was off just slightly :\
"Wow!
That's a low price!"
That super great accessory kit though. I really like Westone's foam and silicone tips, and the pack typically sells for $15 on it's own: http://www.westone.com/store/index.php/westone-music-products/accessories/true-fit-and-star-silicone-fit-kit.html
I'm actually surprised to see the Beta so heavily discounted. Gave it a listen, and it's definitely tuned for a bassy response. That said, it's not a sound signature I mind when I'm running or working out, because the lower end is what gives me a sense of rhythm. Pretty good value of the price.

You could figure it out a bit from the pictures on this page - http://www.earphonesolutions.com/beta-earphones.html
