Product Description
Folding up to 5.5 by 3 inches and weighing in at half a pound, the Wingsland 6S is literally pocket sized, but has powerful and impressive features including 4K video, electronic image stabilization, and an auto-follow function. As quiet, fast, and nimble as a hummingbird, this drone flips in the air, rotates 360 degrees, and orbits objects in a flight that can last up to 10 minutes Read More
i wouldn't get this if I were anybody. i got the indoor/outdoor version, and it killed itself just by rising up until it hit the ceiling and fell down. i didn't even touch the controls after it started flying. it doesn't know how to hover in place. One motor is broken now and there aren't any replacements. Id say it was a heat-to-sensor calibration issue, but when I brought this up to wingsland support, I never got a response. so why buy something where if something malfunctions, support doesn't return correspondence?
There are better drones out there.
jcwmtbYeah, the drone is over a year old now. Still has none of its avoidance features active, GPS isn't fully functional, follow me isn't fully functional. Flight time is short of the 10mins stated. For $190 it's okay if they ever actually make all of the marketed features available and you don't mind waiting. For its regular price, you are seriously being ripped off, it's an unfinished product.
Also, V1 were beta units and units only to be sold in China. V1 units are not firmware upgradable. So, I'd hope these were V2...
A 10 minute flight time? How long does it take to charge? I would be worried that I would spend more time charging the thing than flying. You barely get any time to fly it as it is.
Hi WingslandTech,
There are many negative reviews on Youtube about this product (I think some are V1 and some about V2). Can you pls comment in general about those negative comments on youtube? Here are some of my own questions:
- Is this Massdrop for V2 hardware?
- There is a picture of the propeller guard on the Massdrop. Is this included with your Kit offered here?
- Apparently, the phone App is not very responsive. Is the App updated?
- Apparently, the GPS does not track accurately, and for indoors- the optical cam/sensor pointing down does not track still. Have these been resolved?
- There was a future plan (supposedly April 2017) for a dedicated remote controller for this quad-copter. Is this available now?
Thanks!
Mike01 Hi Mike,
Here are the answer from Wingsland.
1. Yes, this is version 2 of the S6
2. No, the propeller guards are not provided, but comes with 2 sets of propellers.
3. Yes. Since May this year, the APP has been updated to fix previous bugs and the interface has been changed.
4. If you have 7 or above GPS signal the drone should be stable for the most part.
5. Yes, there will be a dedicated remote controller made for the S6. As of right now, it's in beta testing stages. Estimate: end of October for sales.
