I have owned one of the Heritages for quite a while and it has performed well. No problems whatsoever. Who cares if it is real leather? It has good winders and for the price hard to beat. I am ordering a second one for my safe.

chosenhandleWho cares? I do obviously at these prices. Glass is probably plastic too. Appearance of luxury but really just the same chinese crap. If they use fake leather and plexi on the outside where you you feel and see the difference - just imagine the shortcuts on the unseen parts. But hey - if you like paying high prices for cheap worthless shit, I am certainly not stopping you. If you can look at the fake pleather every morning awaiting the inevitable day the plastic gears turn to mush and not feel cheated carry on. But what really gets me is that the fake leather is "sophisticated". Pleather, plexi plastic gears cheap Chinese motor just screams sophisticated.

Erik1What would your alternative be? Does your high horse come with a watch winder?

blizelAlternative- spend the money on a watch, a service, or even an extravagant dinner with your significant other. What is the point of wasting it on a winder? Just trying to be helpful here, honestly.

Erik1I just think there is practicality to having a winder to swap daily watches. At sub-$400 for a three piece unit (that doesn't overwind like the amazon alternatives) + a track record of reliability, this product isn't crap. Being helpful would be finding an alternative that isn't punching down at another opinions.

blizelWhy is any winder practical? I fail to see it except for testing a watch. I have pretty good one from amazon that offers much more rotation options and isn't fake leather. with prime shipping and free returns. I use it for occasional testing of a watch. That seems to be the only practical use.

Erik1You're not in the market for a winder, I am. Thanks for sending the link and don't forget to order an extra appetizer when you go out next.

blizelThanks. Just trying to help - don't count on using a winder on a regular basis - it is a fantasy - you will see....everyone succumbs to the allure of the winder at some point but soon realize it is not really useful as a daily aid. Yes, if you have a lot of watches and occasionally need to test a watch for a multi-day period without actually wearing it, like if you want to sell but want to make sure it is running well, or it just returned from service and you want to make sure they regulated well, etc. then ok.
Daily taking watch on and off the winder - just easier to set the time and date when you want to wear. If they were free - then who cares get a bunch, but $149++ there are other opportunities for that money
