I am personally disturbed to see this trend of more consumption of wood for the headfi/ audiophile hobby. I will pass on this this solid wood HP stand and the HP with chambered wood ear cups.
SupabaUntil recently we had 99 acres in Warwick NY; owned it near 4 decades.
The black walnut trees grew like weeds. Literally laughing here at those lamenting Massdrop selling items made of wood to the audiophile community. This whole drop probably won't amount to the wood from one tree. I'll vote with my wallet, and buy.
m8omanWhere I live, for the last five years, we suffered annually, a few weeks of hazy air (PSI>250) due to deforestation in neighboring countries such as Indonesia. Hence, my previous comment about being disturbed to see more wood consumption.

Thanks for assuring that walnut trees are like weeds where you live. I am not disturbed anymore and will happily buy from this drop for my headphones. The price including shipping is a steal for a solid chunk of wood.
SupabaIs Malaysia one of the causes of haze in your region? I thought Indonesia is the culprit of the annual haze you guys have been getting...
Sorry this is out of topic. Just curious.
DxterIt is in fact happening in Indonesia, which then affects their neighbours. It's the practice of open burning to clear land for re-planting that's the cause. But deforestation is also another unrelated issue faced by both countries.
I just came here to ask if anyone has more info on these manufacturers, can't seem to find more on the net :p
echinekoI'm quite close to pulling the trigger on this. But also considering the headphone stand also currently on sale here on massdrop. Planning to get one or the other. Still looking for a review that will really convince me to get the headphones, rather than the stand.
DxterWhat headphones are you looking at? (I'm assuming there was a typo in your reply) And there doesn't seem to be any info on "WoodLab", wonder if it's an OEM for another manufacturer.
echinekoWhoops. I was replying on my phone and assumed this was under the EMU Walnut Lightweight Headphones discussion. Been looking at both items and mixed up the discussion. Silly me.
