Ordered two...received neither.
"While the package was delivered successfully to our warehouse, it appears that it was not successfully returned to our inventory. When we place an order for a run, we only place it for the exact number of units sold. After double checking our inventory, it looks like we don’t have any inventory available to offer as a replacement."
The sad and shocking truth about snappy little shoe care boxes like this, it that while they smell nice, and do kind of organize your gear, that little dingus up top where your shoe is supposed to rest is damn-near useless. Seriously, you don't think that teeter-ie little shoe rest is going to hold your big shoe still while you brush and buff it to a dazzling shine, do you? No, you don't, because you've had your shoes shined at a shoe shine stand before, and you know it's tough enough to keep your damn foot still while someone else is doing all the work!
So, nice box, smells good, but if that shoe rest is influencing your decision to shell out fifty-five big ones, think again.
I won't comment on the quality of the polish (I've never used that brand; I'm a Lincoln-man) but as to the rest of the kit, I'll say this: the dabbers (applicators) work okay but I recommend cleaning them after use and then storing them in a snack-size zip-lock bag to keep them from drying out and becoming "stiff." Truthfully, your hand/fingers work a lot better, and yes, you can wash it off afterwards. As for the included shoe brushes, they're too small for home use, but you might find one handy for travel, or to keep in your car for touch-ups, but absolutely get the big ones for home-use. By the way, it's a myth that you must use separate brushes for black and brown shoes, 90% of the time, one will do for both.
If you're really hell-bent on doing your own shoes at home, have a lot of them, and have a good spot to instal one of these wall-mounted Shine Butlers, they're the way to go.
I had an issue where the holes in the top for the bolts to pass through and mount the shoe holder didn't line up with the holes in the shoe holder. I used a small circular file to widen the hole slightly to allow it to catch and bolt it down there. Seems like they could manage to line up the holes properly for what this costs, considering there are only 2 of them.
Good drop it just so people know, the regular brushes are laughably small compared to standard brushes. Still good quality though and I am pleased with the purchase
