When I try to make a key for just the "!" symbol (for example), I cannot seem to map it to a function layer. Depending on where I put the exclamation mark on keyboardlayouteditor.com, the TMK Keymap Generator gives me either "WARNING: Secondary label ignored" or "ERROR: No matching key" or nothing at all for that key. If it lets me burn the .eep file, the keyboard does not type the character I want. How can I get around this problem so that I can have keys for specific symbols?
