piperFirst impressions pls, before this drop ends. I would like to know how it sounds, like and if there is any advantage to using it versus other headphones amps pls ?

PaulWTDOCThe amp most probably need to run in and its too early to describe the sound. Yesterday, I had a brief listening thru EEMU headphone. To have a good listening, I had to turned up the volume to about "60" . The sound is pretty smooth and not as warm as a tube amp (may be need to change to a better tube). Advantages, have a built-in DAC, easy to use, small footprint, not hot , xlr headphone connection, easy to understand user guide. At the price range, I have the SMSL M7 to compare with the TA-10. I prefer the SMSL . As mentioned, the amp probably need to run in and may need a better tube. May be you can also look at the DarkVoice 336SE OTL.

I do have the Dark Voice, and it does sound good. I run it with an Emotiva DC-1 dac. very nice sound. I was wondering b/c the XDuo is an all in one. I appreciate ur reply.

frankghzhuI like it very much. I only listen to it with ATH-r70x on balanced port. Base is very solid and powerful. High is very good too and never feel fatigue listen to it. At 52 year old, I can still hear 16k. I think it is pretty good.
Listen to some jazz vocal is wonderful. I don't fill recessed at all.
I have about 40 of listening on the little unit. I expect it getting better over time.
I changed the tube once I got it. So I can not say the original tube will be sounds same.
The one problem is the USB driver. It take me some time to figure it out and get everything working. Now the PC just hand the singnal to TA-10 and it will handle the hardware decode include DSD files.
