I have to admit that I can't figure out why either. From the reviews I've seen on other xDuuo products, they generally get good+ reviews for quality. In fact I'm seriously considering a xDuuo DAC/amp. But this headphone amp seems to have the items I would consider necessary for my use. I have a pair of Fostex T50RPs (damned hard to drive) that perform well with my ifi iDSD BL at standard mode...1.7 watts. This amp provides 2.0 watts balanced. And speaking of balanced, this amp is balanced from input to output...that's a check+. The tubes are 12AU7s, excellent family for tube rolling. Anyone can get the sound they are looking for, as long as it is not non-tube analytical. The price, while not the biggest bargain, is not bad for an amp of this caliber. If only I had the budget...
