I've had the Xd-05 for a while now and the Windows 10 Creator update did cause me some problems, but I have it up and working now. Here is the firmware you need. Follow the instructions to a T on the PDF included. If by chance you have any generic Xmos drivers, remove them first from the device manager and also delete the files/folders from your C:\ before installing this firmware.

Nplateau77Excellent find. Lots of folks are having issues on Windows 10, so hopefully this will resolve some problems. Does this driver perform any differently than the generic Xmos drivers that were on the accompanying cd?
Stellar job finding it - I scoured their site and couldn't find anything.
UPDATE: I actually hashed the internal driver that that package spits out, and it is identical to the one from the cd. The outer package (zip file in your case) is different, but the driver that gets installed in the end is from "XMOS_EVAL_KITS_DriverSetup_v3.34.0.exe", with the same date/time stamps and checksum / hash.
Still, nice to have a package that you can open without playing tricks with 7-zip.

rcloseI was having problems with the Windows 10 Creator update where sound wasn't being output and instead I'd get horrible continuous relay clicks from the amp. I had found other generic drivers which when I installed, only allowed me a max of 16 bit and 192khz, and I could not use Asio to play DSD. This had not been the case prior to the Creator update, so I was quite a bit perplexed.
The first time I tried re-installing the driver, I still had several issues, so I went the generic route, which hamstrung the device's capability. So I went through the process I described in my original post, cleaning out any non-device specific Xmos usb driver I had on my hd. Once I did all that, and reinstalled from the link I posted, and followed the instructions on the PDF to the T, everything ended up working fine again.
Also, if you look in the file when it is uploaded onto your hard disk, there is an installation for driver signatures. I'm pretty certain that it gets installed automatically, but in case there are any issues, one might try to run the signatures installation file, too.

Nplateau77Hey, I appreciate the further details. As someone who doesn't yet have a DSD collection, I haven't noticed any shortcomings of the device with the current generic driver. BUT, now I have the package you supplied so if I have any issues in the future I will have a way forward.
Thanks again for posting.

Nplateau77I did what you said and my relay ticking went away. Thank you so much.
