I know nothing about computers and am trying to build my first one. That being said I only play one game (league of legends) and some stuff for work. I am also on a budget. But would this work for my application

ALM1Yes, as long as you use a motherboard that supports DDR4 (almost any mobo these days), it will work. That said, you can probably get a cheap dual pack (2 sticks) somewhere for around the same price, and Dual Channel RAM is much better than single. Also, this RAM looks pretty unassuming and has no RGB if you want to make your computer pretty.

ALM1It would work yes, but it's overkill, especially for League. If you are building a ryzen pc, the extra speeds may be worth it, otherwise save your money and stick with 2400mhz RAM.

ALM1If you don't know much about computers I would look up the model# of your system. If it's a laptop it probably uses so-dimm modules and these won't work . Depending on the age of your system it will more than likely use DDR4 or DDR3. It's better to use a matched pair of modules that you purchase in a kit to run in dual channel mode.
