So the unit just arrived and I'm unable to get it to pass 4K 60 Hz HDR video to my TV from my Apple TV 4K. It will pass 4K 60Hz SDR and 1080p 60Hz HDR. For some added info the apple TV strait into my TV plays 4K 60Hz HDR just fine, so it's not a cable issue as I'm using the exact same cables between all sources. Does anyone else have this working in 4K 60Hz HDR? I'm open to any suggestions.
Change 4K mode using advanced settings. Check manual for how to access You have to hold a button while turning the power on. You can also update the firmware over the network this way. Once mode is changed 4K HDR works with the right cables.
It often seems like HDR at 60hz in 4k seems only possible through a display port. I dont think HDMI can carry the bandwidth. It's all very confusing and I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that through HDMI only 30hz HDR 4k is possible. My experience is using a PS4 Pro with a LG C7P... Maybe other devices like the Apple TV will do it though.
