I will be hooking mine into a Roland TriCapture, which is an excellent entry-level audio interface that I heartily recommend. It has balanced 1/4" outs, so yay! Really, the TriCapture is "bare minimum" territory; if your computer setup doesn't have balanced out, your money might be better spent on smaller/cheaper monitors + a better interface.
Interesting fact: Yamaha's 8" HS8 model costs roughly twice the Massdrop+tax price of these speakers. It can make sound as low as 38Hz, as opposed to the HS5's floor of 54Hz. I often chop off everything below 40Hz as is (and Reason's EQ will amputate anything below 30Hz); even making drum'n'bass, I feel like 54Hz is low "enough." I would love to hear some experiences from others, if they've found value in adding a powered sub, etc. I'd also love to hear what people use and recommend for audio interfaces; I really like mine, but one day I may need something more.

dropbrianI have the focusrite 6i6 sec gen. It's great with pro tools, however, I'm hearing good things about the new thunderbolt interfaces with low latency. They are only mac, but I've read that os will be coming out with thear version.
