I'm done with massdrop. The price is a complete ripoff, and I haven't seen a decent drop after being a member for a year. Please take the time to Google any product your interested in buying first to see how the prices compare.

binarysaurusGoogling the price is something I do as a matter of course.
For this speaker the best price I could find online was $349. Am I missing some better price than the $259.99 Massdrop is offering at the lowest point?

RankoKohimeI regularly see them online for under 220 a piece. New on eBay and other sites. MSRP doesn't mean much.

RankoKohimeYou're missing two things: 1. that person is just plain wrong, these are steady $350 each - $700/pair, everywhere. Yamaha makes smaller, cheaper monitors in this series, that person is confused. 2. you (and anyone else getting in) is probably going to buy 2, so - gets even cheaper. Really, you're missing nothing, should ignore that crying dude. ;) These are big, booming, monitors. Had I not just bought a different set, I'd be in on this. For sure. That's a bargain. Unless I'm missing something.. ?? (doubt it) maybe he sees them used on eBay cheaper? who would buy used speakers? that's absurd! These are (very) highly rated, well liked and reviewed, people who own them love them - even the smaller ones - these are big enough where having a possible need for a subwoofer is highly unlikely. I apologize for lingering in this thread. Buyer's remorse that it's too late for me to get a set of 8"s for that price.
