dalethornI ordered them from Aliexpress for $7 shipped... not sure how long it'll take but other Headfiers have ordered from here without much issue.. worth a gamble for me I think.

RochRx7My biggest worry at the $5 level is quality control. Not QC that makes sure that it works, but QC that makes sure it sounds the same from sample to sample.

dalethornTo add on to james's post for larger sample size, I have 3 Monks and they all sound the same. I haven't heard of anyone having QC issues with VE products so far.

dalethornDo you have issues trusting AliExpress or the seller on AliExpress? Aliexpress would be an entirely different issue. But the seller in the link posted is Venture Electronics themselves. They have 1k feedback on aliexpress and the listing has almost 3000 orders. Otherwise, the guy behind VE is on head-fi and has been known to sell directly to members. You could try pming him.

RochRx7Another long google search, and no vendors who take paypal, or name vendors I would trust. So, despite the $5 offer, I'll stick with Yuin and my Edifier P180.
