OrmiaNot person you talked to, but i will reply anyways. Sunrise makes good quality buds and i got pair of those along whit pk2's. I have owned sunrise charm 3's which were very nice regarding both sound quality & build quality. Currently i got Sunrise SW II Dragon's which are even better than charms, but they require powerful device or portable amp to be at their best. I would say that pk2 falls between those 2.

OrmiaVenture Electronics Monk, Venture Electronics Asura (if comparing MSRP), and Baldoor/Mrice E100 would be my top recs. Yuins are still good, but the newer generation of (mostly Chinese) earbuds have them beat badly on price/performance. I do understand that MD went for the Yuins though, because the newer earbuds are less known and often come from smaller makers.

RochRx7I own 7 pairs of VE Monks. They all sound great, and the difference in sound between pairs is orders of magnitude smaller than just adjusting the camber of the fit in the bowl of the ear.
Monks are by far my choice over the PK2s

dalethornSure, I got 3 more pairs last week... they all sound the same. I hope you guys realize that aliexpress is owned by Yahoo, right? I have personally ordered over 11 grand of goodies from their site, and I have actually had a better buyer experience than on eBay. If identity theft is a concern, then I guess that's on you for not having lifelock or something.
Hit me up at seraphicmotion@gmail.com (my spam address) and I'll shoot a pair over to you... I have been taking the drivers out of the headphones, btw, and mounting them in nicer, more comfortable housings. I can shoot you info to a seller on aliexpress that has a housing that is super sexy and conforms to Lewicki requirements. It is the only headphone I have ever used that doesn't seal the canal, but still extends below 60hz. That is important to me because I got an ear infection last year from my JH Laylas that developed into a brain infection lol.
Take care and have a nice day.
