Received package today. Read the instructions, and followed them. Put on charger for 5 hours, and checked on it frequently. I noticed the battery compartment getting really hot, and the charger was on almost too hot to touch. Disconnected from power supply. Charged the controller. Controller says it is fully charged, but the board it less than 25%, and buzzing. Can't continue to charge at that heat. Now it's beeping to let me know it's critical low battery. Unscrewwed the battery compartment from the board. There is some really shady wiring, and LiPo batteries (cheap) from Japan. They are holding a charge. Put the meter on the EC3 connector, and the voltage is 25.8V, so it must be the ECU (Electronic Control Unit). I can't believe I continue to give Massdrop my money. This is not the first time I bought a lemon.
Again, this is Massdrop pushing out B Stock items. Not sure whom to blame. Massdrop or the manufacturer. Have an email to both, and will update as I get answers to this.
But beware. This could easlily have caught on fire, and burned my house down. LiPo batteries are not a joke to be taken lightly. This is not charging your phone either. There are 21 individual cells in the battery compartment, and any short in the circuit, and the whole thing becomes a swelling spew of gasses, until it ignites violently.
Thanks again Massdrop.

rtoungateJust curious, how is Massdrop at fault here when they're just the middle man? They didn't make the boards, they just give you an offer for them at a lower price. Yuneec could have sent them a sample in perfect working order and then decided to screw everyone who ordered one just to get money from you, that's not Massdrops fault.

ZelgiusthebraveIn a way you're absolutely correct, and I stated that I'm not sure whom to blame. My point, as with all the other stuff I've purchased on here, is Massdrop won't be honest if this stuff is new, or B Stock. So are we buying in mass to reduce the price, or should the price already be reduced due to its condition?
