I'm actually disgusted with this price. It's just a purple PCB. A satan gh60 is of very similar quality and is a third the price on AliExpress.

Caleb675See your point to an extent, but when in the custom market, I truly think prices are based on perceived values. This PCB has a custom color solder mask on it, which is awesome when making a custom board with an acrylic case. Also, the RGB LEDs directly on the board instead of being through switch are a great addition. Then, right or wrong, I have seen nothing but quality from Zeal, so I have a certain degree of trust with him, which is worth the extra cost to me when shelling out hundreds of dollars for what is essentially an extra pretty input device.
It seems that this product doesn't quite justify the price in your eyes, which is a completely fair assessment, and in that case, I'd recommend you go with the satan gh60 board. For me, the PCB is expensive, but completely worth it because I'm only going to build so many keyboards, and I really want the most exciting custom components in it. This is the same type of logic that pushed me to purchase the GMK Plum set for my board instead of a, admittedly very nice, $40 PBT Ducky keycap set.
In summary: Different strokes for different folks.

TheNamesTy45You can't compare a PCB to GMK or SP keysets. After you build your keyboard and put some extra work into placing the LEDs, you don't see the PCB again. I have a few sets of nice keycaps because that's the whole point of this hobby, but dropping an extra hundo on a PCB adds no benefit to the keyboard. I've been around this community for a long time and I can tell you that you are being scammed. Also, another way you can tell something is double the price it should be is when they put the word "preorder". This is commonly seen when the seller knows how ridiculous the price but they also know that people will take any meaningless shit as justification for burning money.

Caleb675I crunched some numbers and compared a number of hobbyist, 60% PCBs sold on the market. I haven't run across any with per-switch, individually controlled, rbg LEDs. The cost of LEDs, their two controller ICs and additional expense of pick & place work are likely to add at least $15-$25 to the cost of production. Add a margin to cover overhead and stand a chance of making some money, and this price is probably in the expected range for this board (even without the premium the brand tends to command). There may be some premium based on the supplier, but it's not huge. If some people are willing to pool resources, group-buy the parts and manage the soldering themselves then yeah, they could probably shave $10-$25 in the end.
