About Zelos Watches
Zelos Watches was a hit even before the company released its first timepiece, the Helmsman. That’s because the design of the watch spoke for itself. Released on Kickstarter in March 2014, it was produced by Elshan Tang. Nearly 2 years after its launch, Zelos—that’s Greek for “zeal”—has produced five different lines of watches, each one more successful than the last.

About the Helmsman
The Helmsman’s round case features a deep-set dial protected by a sapphire crystal. Arabic numerals sit at the 12 and 6 o’clock positions, and partially skeletonized hands have been treated with C3 Super-LumiNova. Paying tribute to the nautical theme (the watch’s name refers to a person who steers a ship) is a stationary external bezel with wide teeth. An internal diver’s bezel, which is also treated with Super-LumiNova, can be controlled using the crown at 2 o’clock. Turn the watch around and you’ll discover a display caseback that offers a peek at the 24-jewel Miyota 9015 movement.
