If this tarp were just a little bit longer, it'd be an instant purchase for me. I'm super tempted by the weight but a bit hesitant due to the size. 9 feet 2 inches is a tad bit short in inclement weather, especially if there's both rain and wind. I've used an 8x10 hardware store tarp for years, which granted aren't really 10 feet long (more like 9 feet 8 inches or so, due to the hemming), yet still work well- but on windy and rainy nights, the occasional raindrop on your head isn't uncommon. With even less length in this tarp, I'd be concerned about my head and/or feet getting wet in particularly nasty storms. I suppose that it's wide enough that a single occupant can sleep at somewhat of an angle for added protection from the elements.

This is pretty damn light. I wonder if it would work for my hammock setup...
