Have a few issues.
At 6'2" im gonna touch on both ends with a sleeping bag.
Single wall means condensation. So sleeping quilt wet.
Compared to other designs zpack or lightheart its heavy.
The good. It's cheap. Sort of. When i consider other tents that don't do a good job on amazon selling for $50. It's not really cheap if it doesn't do the job.
Make it longer. Put no seeum around the whole peremeter close to the floor. Put large covered vents on the top. Then same price. You have a heavy tent that at least does the job. If you put in ultralight materials i would understand a price increase. But i really dont think it's a good deal. Without proper venting single wall will get you wet. This doesn't have good venting.

Mverick160Did you just compare this to a Zpacks tent that costs 3 times as much? Really? @Mverick160Also, the LightHear Solo is actually 4.5 ounces HEAVIER at an additional cost of $100.

DannyMilksThat, and how a Zpacks tent is cuben fiber (or dyneema now, I guess? ).
Isn't exactly apples to apples. The Protrail comparison is far more apt. Something that isn't incredibly apparent in the photos is that it has a mesh vent on the foot end. You can see it in one of the videos. And, if it isn't raining, you could just open half of the side wall. Head and foot vents with a mesh side is probably fine in most situations.
@Mverick160 - The tent you described is basically a Protrail. What's the point of making another Protrail? I definitely agree with you on the length, but the tent is made in Korea. It's probably a gross assumption on my part, but I imagine 6ft+ individuals are probably more common here than there.
I don't think these type of shelters in this class of shelters are for you, at least from what you've said here. Zpacks certainly doesn't compare, and the shelter is ~15% lighter than a Protrail or Lightheart Solo. In a similar class and price is the Trekker Stealth 1, but buying one, if you live in North America, requires one to ship it from the UK, significantly adding additional costs. And I'm not sure what to make about your comment on ultralight materials either. Silnylon is hardly expensive. It's probably one of the cheapest, lighter materials available for shelters.
