The lighter part is said to be "Original Windproof Lighter" but the photos show some sort of push-to-ignite lighter. So, what's the truth? Which one's in this lighter and if it's not the one in the photos... why put those photos?
AristarcoThe lighter comes with the "original windproof lighter" inside. There is an option at checkout to add a single or double torch butane insert from zippo in addition to the original lighter.
Jason.ElementBrass is strong, even when thin, it's an excellent material. There are some pieces made of stainless that form the inner workings and the hinge, other than that, all brass from what I've seen.
k15goosefill it up, it evaporates. you also might need to repack the wick like a snake through the cotton fill. pull the guts out using tweezers- its on youtube if you need clarity.
As much as I love a good Zippo with flint/wick/fluid...I never have lighter fluid around whenever I run out and they don't make the bottom of Zippos cotton padding as thick as they used to where fluid would last over a month. But I personally recommend a Vector butane torch insert, and now Zippo makes them. (I refill it probably once a month with every day use) or my new favorite the plasma dual arc Zippo inserts. Basically the same thing as two mini tazers that make an "X" with 2 arcs. And it will light anything instantly. And is definitely wind proof. Also comes with a tiny magnetic usb to micro USB cable that fits in your wallet for charging. Def worth the $20. Also does anyone know if the plain copper selection is also an armor casing series or just the engraved ones?
uhhhh...Finally recieved this in the mail after (i beileve) a month and a half of ordering it.
Thank you "drunk Massdrop shopping"
Definitely thought this was a steal on a actual copper zippo....
I hate it...but its a zippo...so ill keep it.
I will sell you a perfectly round piece of antique copper for $9.99. It is authenticated by the US treasury for all debts public and private. More commonly known as a penny.
CalaverasgrandeI was about to say: "they're made of zinc these days, aren't they?"...but I think that's the joke your were making, yeah? Pennies are to copper as "antique copper Zippo" is to actual copper Zippo.
I have a reputation with friends and family as someone who ruins jokes by taking them literally and after the punch line, explaining the problems or inconsistencies, which are usually the crux of the humor. So I'm NOT doing that here, nope. I'm IN on the humor this time.
