Well just got my Oris yesterday and here is a quick first impressions. Very unimpressed with the packaging, it came in a small box with the pads scrunched up together in a ball of paper. My pads were very deformed and have creases in the material from being packaged this way. They held shape better after I got them mounted on my TH-610s. Also worth mentioning that I didnt get a notification that they shipped until this morning (they were delivered yesterday). Nice surprise to come home from work to, but up to date tracking would have been nice.
Comfort is my main reason for purchasing, and the lambskin feels very soft and premium. When on the head the headphones feel much lighter compared to the stock pads. Overall pressure on the side of my head is much lower, and with the softer padding, they conform to the side of my head creating a slightly better seal than the stock. They seemed to build up heat on my ear faster than the stocks though, hoping this isnt an issue with summer around the corner. Very happy with the comfort overall, as I wear my headphones while doing school for sometimes up to 3-4 hours each evening.
Secondly, and less important to me, is sound. I was actually impressed with how they changed the sound signature of my 610s. The highs are ever so slightly less sharp, maybe softer is the right word, which isnt a bad thing. The 610s always had sharp highs with medium and over volume, and these pads softened them up very well. The lower end also has a larger sound stage, which is also a welcome change. Didnt notice any changes in the mids, Im not a pro sorry haha.
Im not good with words so take what you want from this mini review, but overall I would say these are worth it for comfort alone, assuming you are using your headphones a lot.
