I got these pads (sheepskin) for the HE4xx but it seems the original plastic mounting ring is glued to the original HE4xx pads so I would have to destroy the old pads to use the rings with the new ones. Was that true for everyone else as well? I was told "the HE4xx comes with the rings" so I assumed they were removable. As of now I have no way of mounting my ORI pads without destroying the old ones.
Does anyone know how to get ahold of these plastic mounting rings for the HE4xx?

ZMFheadphonesGreat! I had the same question and shipping from the Hifiman store to Europe is quite expensive. Ordering from one of the European Amazon stores is indeed much cheaper. So thank you for the tip!

JstryderHifiman sells them directly on their site (http://store.hifiman.com/index.php/earpad-mounting-rings.html), but grabbing the cheap, older style pads from Amazon is probably cheaper and quicker if you have Amazon Prime.
