I was looking at these for the Fostex TH-X00 PH (Purpleheart). I prefer the stock sound of the Purpleheart, but with a bit of bass boost. I like the detailed treble of the stock sound, but do love the controlled rumble that they're capable of when you boost the bass a bit.
So my question is...is there an ear pad whose sound signature is close to stock sound? I'd prefer Lambskin over velour.
Things I'm okay with: - Bass bump - Slight treble increase Things I'm not okay with: - Loss of detail in treble - Recessed bass
If I wanted a more balanced sound, I'd pick up my HD 650 or Elear. But I use my Purplehearts because I want to feel my music.
Thanks!
XephyrothUniverse regular pads would be the ticket! Thanks for the details!

ZMFheadphones@ZMFheadphones I assume that means non-perforated lambskin for the Universe pads? Could you extrapolate any details about how perforated vs non-perforated would affect the sound?
Thanks again! I've also been using your Pilot Pad for a few months now and it has substantially improved the comfort of my TH-X00!
XephyrothPerf = less bass more air through the front of the headphone, usually works fine with headphones that have velour pads or open headphones very well. Closed headphones usually want non perf pads for bass extension.
A good rule of thumb if trying to keep the original sound sig is that if the original pads are vented or made in a material that is vented like velour, than you want non perf.
As a note, our suede is not like velour, in that it doesn't let a TON of air out (a little more than lambskin but not as much as perf lambskin).

XephyrothI've been using ZMF Pilot Pad, Omni (replaced ? by Ori) pads, and Lawton Tune-Up kit on my Purplehearts almost since day 1, and love them :) Install ONLY the driver damping part of the Lawton kit, play with the cup damping part afterwards if you desire but you'll probably yank that part back out.
