Alex00322as i said, i had both monitors. Both monitors came out in august. The xl2411 is the lower tier version of the 2430. also the xl2411 monitor you sent from microcenter costs 280$
You guys need to step up your monitor game. You used to be cutting edge. Now you're just selling the same stuff for a higher cost. Acer and Asus are leaving you guys behind. I used to be Benq exclusive, now there isn't anything worth buying.
Alex00322Alex, I do not know where you are getting your information but pretty much everything you have said has been incorrect. It seems you may have a vendetta against BenQ. If you do not like us, that is fine. Let other people decide if we are a good brand or not. Thank you.
ShaneJWhat is a new feature other than the remote control? It's a 144hz 1ms TN panel. What is new about that? You've had a 144hz 1ms TN panel for years and years. I don't have a vendetta against Benq. I use a Benq as my second monitor. I used to use one as a main monitor but replaced it due to lack of innovation. I now use a 2560x1440 23.8 inch monitor that is 165hz 1ms with Gsync. I can't think of a single cutting edge thing that BenQ has on their monitors other than some gimmicks in the settings. I wish BenQ had a nice monitor, I would buy it.
Alex00322check out our XL2540 and XL2735 at http://www.zowiedirect.com. Those are our 240hz and DyAc monitors. We keep things simple and effective when it comes to monitors. We do not make changes unless the pros and other reputable sources say our products need improving. Why fix it if it isn't broken? Sure there will be customers that want the monitor to play the game for you, and be 8k resolution. As of now, TN panels are the best (fastest response time) panels for gaming there are. We cater more to the professional and avid gamers. Not so much casuals. It is like a car enthusiast vs a person who just needs a car to get from point a to point b. To each his own.
Alex00322i totally agree with you here.
you can get the Zowie XL2411Z brand new from jet.com and use the triple15 coupon to bring down the price to at least $246.50. i don't need that button thing nor the wait in shipping.
i don't get what the actual "deal" here is.
ShaneJI understand that you have new monitors. We weren't talking about those. We were talking about the one that is being sold right now. I was asking what a new feature was that you were talking about over the old model. Also, why are we talking about 8k resolution? I get that Benq is gaming oriented, it just feels like Benq is all about marketing as opposed to letting their products speak for themselves. They used to push out monitors that were far superior in every way. Now they're just average. I want the old Benq back.
Alex00322I am trying my best not to act like a troll, so bear with me here if I sound rude. What you are having a problem understanding here is that we are selling pretty much our starting lineup here. I brought up the other models because you mentioned our lack of innovation. Have you checked out those monitors yet? They are pretty cool and may suit your needs more. This is our 2nd to lowest XL series monitor. You get a display port and the S switch instead of just a dual link dvi on the XL2411. You also get better color and performance on the XL2430 than the XL2411 with the "color vibrance" feature. You go up higher to get the "innovation" products. 2 steps above this one, the XL2730 you get freesync and 1440 resolution. It keeps going up after that. Do not forget it is our Black Equalizer and our eye care that make us the chosen brand for Pro gamers among other things. Have a great day Alex.
ssl5bXL2411Z is our older 2015 model. which that is an ok price for an older model. Maybe we will create a drop for the refurbished like new XL2411s (2016 model) which will be a much more attractive price. Not everyone needs every bell and whistle we have, this is true. Happy gaming.
Alex00322Gsync is Nvidia's pay to use version of AMD's Freesync. A lot of companies are moving away from Gsync as they have to pay for the licensing of that with Nvidia. Until further notice, we will not be making any new gsync monitors. Just freesync.
