Absolutely crazy how people will dog every deal out there Yep, it's refurbished... Nope, no GSYNC. Thank God it doesn't have Dell's name on it. Whoever made that comment isn't a gamer. However, it's a great product with great specs for for a hugely discounted "Grade-A" refurb monitor that comes with a 1 year warranty. There is one person out there that has had a bad experience with every product ever made. It's a given. Looking at the specs, with everything this monitor has to offer and at $125 off the retail price, this is an absolute steal. People that own this monitor absolutely love it and that should be enough. The whole point about buying stuff here is about getting a good deal and I believe Massdrop succeeded here. I bought a triple set and will post back after I receive them. I'm very excited! 27" $550 monitor with 1440p and great reviews refurbed with a 1 year warranty instead of 3 at a $125 discount... This is a steal for this quality of monitor! If you want IPS or GSYNC or whatever, go spend a lot more money for it. For the price of this quality monitor, this is actually a great deal. Stop being so negative and get your noses out of the air. If you owned or have actually used this monitor and do or don't like it, I'd love to hear why you do or don't like it. But these opinions some of you guys are throwing out there just so you can have an opinion noted about something you don't own and haven't done any research on is ridiculous. Don't let these discussions turn into the stupidity that SlickDeals allows.

Kr4zrDell has a longstanding reputation for some of the best monitor quality on the market. That has been the case for years.
When I said the Dell 27" is a better deal, I wasn't saying this product is necessarily bad; I'm just saying that there is another option that's objectively better. That's why we're here on Massdrop, isn't it? To get the objectively best deal?

Hey man, we're PC gamers and we're passionate about what we like. I've personally had terrible luck with every Dell product I've ever worked on or used because of how poor of quality their bulk products are. They're generally the most popular PC name you see because of their price. I don't know of any PC gamer/builder that ever went to Dell first for any gaming equipment with the exception of the Alienware brand. Again, this is my opinion as is everything else that everyone is saying. What you don't see (and my whole point for the most part) is that for this product specifically, this is a fantastic deal on a great product. You are the only person I've ever come across in a PC gaming discussion that has ever suggested a Dell product of any kind, regardless of reputation or personal experience and to me, it seems crazy because that is far from the "norm" that I know with PC gamers. Hell, even when I look up reviews or best 27" monitors, Dell wasn't in any discussion I came across or video on YouTube. The Zowie brand just like the ROG brand are built for enthusiasts. Dell is certainly budget friendly but doesn't deserve even an honorable mention in any discussion for gaming that I've ever been involved with in my opinion and while building PCs is a hobby of mine, I've been building and buying PC parts since 2001. Dell has never belonged in this category of PC performance. They probably make a fine monitor but it's not on the same enthusiast level that the BenQ Zowie is on. For the discounted price for a Grade-A refurb enthusiast monitor and still carrying a 1 year warranty from the maker, Massdrop did buyers an awesome job in my book and it's a great deal for people looking to buy this monitor or a monitor of it's class.

Kr4zrI agree that Dell doesn't typically target the gaming market outside the Alienware brand. In fact, I'm surprised the S2716DG isn't branded with Alienware, considering it's obviously a gaming monitor with G-sync and a high refresh rate. Regardless, I'll agree do disagree with you on this.
