Big Agnes ultralights are more appealing. Most of the models are a lot cheaper, about the same weight and look a lot more substantial (not to mention easier on the eyes.)

JalucianSame weight? Which BA tents weigh under 600g? And looks can be deceiving. The pyramid-ish style of the Duplex and similar trekking pole supported tents is actually very strong. Much more so than many tents supported by long, flexible poles.

JoomyScout UL2 is a similar weight, same concept, and half the price. Though the Duplex gets better reviews it seems. I have a big anges tent and I'm thoroughly impressed with its performance in poor weather, having used it in windy mountain conditions and downpours several times. Maybe this is a better tent, but the price is pretty steep. Don't get me wrong I'd love to have this tent, but Jalucian has a point. Though personally don't care what my gear looks like as long as it works well.

tsturzlComparable weight and a bit more floor area but only a single door and no vestibule? And yes not cuben which is a big part of the cost of the Zpacks tents and a big part of their appeal.
