DavePrefontaineSince shipping is included when you order direct from Zpacks it is less than a 7% savings. And you know that you will want some other item as well.

DavePrefontaine@DavePrefontaine - Thanks for your first post on Massdrop. However, why did you waste it on such a comment that offered so little benefit? Are you registering your complaint that this is the best price available for the tent? Are you representative of 100% of our membership, and therefore what you think is not good enough *must* be true for our members all over the world? Are you unhappy that we not only have this freakin' awesome tent, but that we also have numerous high-res photos, slightly faster fulfillment time, 50 *helpful* comments by other community members, several polls to back-up the popularity of the tent, and a more social way to learn about gear and maybe even by something?
If you're not happy even when we do offer the best price plus all of that, then I can't help you find happiness. Just like I can't help the three people who gave you a thumbs up, or the complainypants on some of the other forums (which I do read, btw).
However, I'd like to think you have something positive to offer the community. I'm sure you have some experiences and hard-earned wisdom that would benefit all of us. What's your favorite tent? How have your trips changed since you've gained a family? How do you hike and backpack with kids? I've taken mine backpacking a lot, starting at 5 weeks old. What products would you like to see that I haven't yet been able to source? Let's make this a positive place that we all can enjoy. If you're not happy with something, by all means make your voice heard. But don't waste it. Thanks and I look forward to hearing more from you!

JerkyKen@JerkyKen - The value of this drop certainly depends on your state (taxation) and country (shipping costs). We haev a lot of international members who can sometimes benefit more than US-based members. And Zpacks has a lot of great products, so if you plan on ordering more than this tent, then you're right that it's obviously better to go straight there to get everything all at once. Good point!
And it's good to see you here. But why it's taken you so long to post man?! Help us build this community with your knowledge. Stop spending your time hoping Dr J returns to bring bpl to it's former glory. ;)

DannyMilksWell I do think the minor discount shows Joe's business savvy. Sell a few more through a still new source that has customers that might not see his products. You have to admit that a single digit discount is probably not hurting him at all. BTW I am happy with my recent purchase through Massdrop. I am just pretty well kitted out Danny. Hope to see you soon.
