Is it possible to use this as a car theft locator device? So you'd be able to leave it plugged in at the rear passenger port and if your car is stolen you can locate it with this?
EDIT: Unfortunately it requires you to have your phone paired with it to store the last known location.

Heldelbertnot really... the range of BT is extremely limited, if they steal the car you need a gps locator installed.
