Creative Sound BlasterX H5/Sound BlasterX G1 Bundle
genkidama:
You'll feel a huge leap in comfort with these phones. I wear 7+5/8 cap and these fit me well. Hard to tell if they'll fit your head at 7+7/8 which is a bit bigger.
For CSGO, the scout mode gets good reviews and is supposed to be better with the G1 included here.
As for the USB attachment, it works well. The hyperx cloud 2's use a similar USB input as the H5's with one 4 pole connector and both work great. As with any 7.1 headset, it's n...

Creative Sound BlasterX H5/Sound BlasterX G1 Bundle
I'm kinda curious about this bundle. Can someone shed light on how this bundle would fare in csgo? I would mainly use them for playing with friends on match-making servers and as of right now I'm using a Plantronics headset which hurts my ears after 2hrs of gaming.. Which is really bad! FYI: My head is pretty big, for a new era cap I need a size of 7 7/8 inches (62.5cm).
Despite this being such a good deal for me, I'm still wondering if this inves...

Creative Sound BlasterX H5/Sound BlasterX G1 Bundle
Hey there! The largest difference between the two is the addition of the USB control pod for the H7. And then there is the illumination on the ear cup (the Blaster X X) and the yoke portion of the H7 is black versus the deep silver of the H5.
We conceived the G1 as a way for people who bought the H5 as an analog headset and then later decided they wanted a USB connection to get the same feature set as the H7 with a USB connection.
This combo ac...

Creative Sound BlasterX H5/Sound BlasterX G1 Bundle
While it's hard to beat the hyperx cloud 2's value and performance, this drop is a comparable headset to the cloud 2's with a USB amp added in for good measure. The Cloud 2's also come with a USB AMP and 7.1 surround (via the digital AMP) and are a great bang for the buck; this H5 drop is a great value overall and a better all around AMP/headset than the Cloud 2's for a comparable price (if we can unlock 99.99). I'm committed at that price and y...

Creative Sound BlasterX H5/Sound BlasterX G1 Bundle
Vayrak, while the H5 shares a similar yoke and whatnot to the Cloud II ( see my posting earlier in the comments for our design philosophy on the H5 / H7) , it's a very different headset from the Cloud II in sound profile and overall acoustic design in general. Different drivers, acoustic baffling, etc. There's a lot going on under the hood in the ear cups. Couple it with the G1 and it's a different beast entirely. Powered by a more powerful amp ...

Wireless Gaming Headset?
I am thinking about joining the Siberia 800 drop. Before I join in I am wondering if there are any better wireless headset around $200. Also if you think that a wireless gaming headset is not the way to go, tell me some suggestions on what is the bes

Massdrop x Sennheiser PC37X Gaming Headset
This is what I ended up getting:
Creative Sound Blaster Omni Surround 5.1 USB Sound Card with High Performance Headphone Amp and Integrated Beam Forming Microphone
It cost about 75 bucks from Amazon so it was more than I wanted to spend after spending 120 on this headset but I'm happy with it now. I don't know if this is the best option as I'm not much of an audiophile. I did try a small USB dongle type card that was only 11 bucks first but ...

Massdrop x Sennheiser PC37X Gaming Headset
Any suggestions on a quality sound card (USB or internal) to drive this PC37X headset? I have tried many on the market, and none that I have tried, including higher-end Creative and Asus USB or PCI-Express sound cards, can really do the mic element justice. The ones I have tried all seem to have some sort of line noise on the mic input, when I know the mic element on this and similar Sennheiser headsets are not the source of the noise. (I know, b...

So I've been interested in trying these out for a while now, as they look like a pretty solid, budget competitor to HyperX. Any chance of this getting dropped?

Massdrop x Sennheiser PC37X Gaming Headset
I just did a quick test and compared these with Pc 363D.
Didnt have much time to test so I've only tested partially with two songs, spotify premium high quality (Razihel - Titans, Madeon - Technicolor). Connected to the creative X-Fi titanium, as well as the usb dingle that came with the 363D's.
The only perceivable difference to me was that the soundstage was slightly wider on the 37x into both sources. There may be a bit better bass response from...
