Using cheap ink converters
As the pen market in my country is extremely limited, I can't find converters and I can't order them online due to most of the sellers not shipping here, so I found these converters on ebay with free international shipping http://www.ebay.com/itm/321

J. Herbin 1670 Ink (3-Pack)
I hope these answers help clarify a bit ...
WARNING! LONG EXPLANATION TO FOLLOW:
It *is* a very popular ink. If you're just getting started, it might be better to ease into these inks with samples. Samples can be had for purchase at a number of online vendors. The Goulet Pen Company is very popular (for good reason), but they're not the only ones. I would recommend checking out their site and/or fpn if you want more info about the ink and want...

J. Herbin Ink (5-Pack)
A few things about this drop worthy of mention from your friendly neighborhood Gonzo:
First off, this post is about the drop and not the ink in particular. For ink reviews, there are many on Youtube and throughout the interwebs.
Here are few points about the drop:
1. Online retail price for these bottles seems to bounce between $10 - $12/bottle. Very occasionally, you might find something for $9-ish, but you also need to check if shipping is incl...

Meitachi, the examples you provided are pretty impressive. Also, thank you and MikeJamrock for your very kind words.
Determining accuracy of ink color and behavior is very tricky when relying entirely on what you see on your screen, but there are things you can do to mitigate the issues. In no particular order,
look at a number of different swab/swatch examples. The two provided by Meitachi are excellent. Another options is to go to: gouletpen...

Good advice, ZALHERA.
To add to your comment for dedalian, this is how I make sure all of my inks last as long as possible.
To make sure my inks stay "fresh", I fill my pens by drawing from a 7ml sample vial. As needed, I refill my vials from the main bottle. Each transfer from main bottle to vial is about 5ml. I also make sure all my vials are properly labelled. This way, I can keep my 10-12 inks accessible, don't worry about emptying a 1/2-fu...

What's your grail ink(s) + pen(s)?
we all have distant stars in our skies that we aspire to grasp. Dreams to realise, journeys to complete, treasures to collect. This is not a self-motivation website or a hiking community (not primarily at least), so dreams and journeys are not the fo

J. Herbin Ink 100 ml Bottle (2-Pack)
I use both the Bleu Nuit and Eclat de Sapphir. I've also had a sample vial of de lune. It's very similar to Montblanc lavender purple. Saphir is more color saturated and a bright blue color. The other, Bleu Nuit, more muted blue jeans blue. I like them both. Wasn't fond of the purple but I know quite a few people who are. they are easy to clean up very well behaved, and reasonably priced.
Goulet Pen sells the 100ml bottles for $22. The ...

Noodler's ink...or?
Hiya guys - as a European, I'm mostly looking for American stuff here on Massdrop; pens, audio and inks. So, I have looked for Noodler's Ink in Europe, and it's Amazon that has it, sporadically I can tell. I'm wondering what your experience with Noo

Sure, SpiralGuy,
I use vials from the used ink samples I've gotten from Goulet Pens. The Goulets also sell the vials on their own (10 for $3), but I wouldn't place an order just for the vials if that's what you're interested in.
As I also use these vials for ink swaps, I like that they have the ml markings on them: 6 markings, the first 5 are labelled 1-5ml.
They have secure screw tops and are plastic (so are less prone to break). While they wi...

Require Ink For My Fountain Pen
So I recently stumbled across a Fountain Pen set whilst doing some cleaning. It is a Osmiroid brand, with five nib units. I'm now in possession of it, but have no ink for it, nor ink cartridge. Is it possible to use any other ink with this, and if p

I think a lot of us who are into fountain pens are also into journaling our daily lives. Those who are into this can probably relate to my situation when the flow of thoughts and writing are coming too fast but we have to wait for our FP inks to dry

J. Herbin 1670 Ink (3-Pack)
JonasHeineman ,
This is great news! Thanks for your efforts with this and for extending it the extra day. As it is the most popular of the 3 varieties, how much more were you able to score?
One of the great things about this drop, in particular, is the ability to order one of each. Other drops have been for 2 bottles of one color and 1 bottle of another. I ask about the quantities because there's always the concern that some may try to "hoard" ...
