TFZ King Pro IEM
The king pro is a step above the E5. Bass isn't as accentuated and the king pro is more balanced, but bass quality and deepness is just as good or better. With EQ it is just fine on bass quantity for my bass preferences(add about 2-3 db versus the E5). Haven't heard the king due to reputation, but these don't share the supposed faults of the Kings which kept me away.
The king pro has superior detail and staging properties which really makes t...

Massdrop x JBL LSR30X Powered Speakers
I'm so happy with my initial pair that I ordered 3 more pairs to give to extended family that haven't heard / can't afford good sound. I like the turnkey aspect in that all they need is a computer or tablet with a headphone out.
As anyone who has tried it knows, setting up non-technical people with a home theater receiver (even just for a stereo pair of speakers) is rather nightmarish. They keep hitting the wrong buttons on the remote and selec...

Hey Massdrop. Is there any way to add some A/V receivers drops? Marantz/Arcam Cambridge/denon/Onkyo would be awesome. Thanks,

Massdrop x Focal Elex Headphones
Since you won't disclose your set-up, I have to assume that you own a Sennheiser HD600 and NFB-11... an excellent rig, especially for its cost. But it's far from end-game if you're truly serious about enjoying music on headphones. (Sennheiser's new HD660S bests the HD600 in sound realism. And the NFB-28.38 DAC/amp would be an excellent choice to run it balanced.)
The "only valid measurement sources" or just the
most famous
ones? What about diyaud...

Best Schiit-Amp?
I have the Valhalla 2 and a pair of HD650's, similar to the HD6XX, this is known to be a good combo, I don't know how your other phones will pair up. I run the Valhalla 2 from a Schiit Saga preamp with some older Audioquest silver extreme interconnects. One nice feature of the Valhalla is a duel impedance switch for lower/higher impedance phones like iem's. I tried this last night with my SE530's and was quite pleased. The sound is not overly...

Massdrop x AKG K7XX Audiophile Headphones
I've had my K7XX for over two years now (January 2015 drop), SN#4329 and these have never let me down! I use them mostly for music but also for gaming and drive them with an Audio-gd NFB-11. After a month long, intensive comparison with the K712 I owned before these, I sold the K712 and the K7XX have been my primary headphones ever since.
Power requirements
: I've had several desktop dac/amps over the years and sold a Creek (Music Hall) OBH-11 ...

Massdrop x JBL LSR30X Powered Speakers
Unless your amp has line-level, aka preamp, outputs, which is rare these days, I think that powered speakers are not what you want. It sounds like you are wanting to run your amp's powered outputs (typically banana-plug) into these JBL's, which would destroy the JBL's, when what you need is a headphone out or preamp out. The DAC you linked does have volume control, so if your only audio source is your computer, then you could bypass your Yamaha...
