Mission - Lost Creek Wilderness
This is a story of choices. Some were good, some potentially deadly. Necessity and Planning After the first twelve months of fatherhood, I needed to pop the release valve. My wife had been able to get away for a long weekend in Californi...

Questions
Do you think Massdrop offers enough photo accessories?
I'm talking tripods, monopods, ball-heads, light modifers, remote shutter releases, studio strobes, strobe triggers, etc. We see plenty of lenses and a good amount of camera bags. But the past year felt a little light on the other stuff. Chim...

[Ongoing] Pro Photo Gear Discussion
I'm a photo enthusiast who traveled around the world on business with camera(s) in tow and have even gone as far as lugging a Hasselblad 501 system and large Manfrotto tripod to Europe and Asia. I have since moved to a much lighter kit of both film and digital cameras. I was able to find a used Gitzo GT-1550T carbon tripod at the same price as a new travel tripod of lesser quality and heavier weight. It is lightweight, compact and strong. ...

Best Camera Bag(s)?
My chip-in; I have this Sierra Club carry bag I got by making a donation. It's REALLY roomy, and made of very sturdy, water repellant gore-tex. Compartments and a nice exterior zip-pocket... better camera gear bag than all these expensive designated bag. For lugging my lens stable and other cameras about for a shoot, I prefer those foam lined metal hard-cases. Anything I buy from Manfrotto is actual gear. Like window mounts and tripods.

Peak Design Capture P.O.V. Action Mount
For those selecting the "Pro Pack", is there an option in checkout to select the DUALPlate or MICROPlate instead of the ARCAPlate? I didn't see one so I held off ordering. Those checkout options are provided by the manufacturer at no additional cost. The DUALPlate is compatible with Bogen/Manfrotto tripods which may be helpful for anyone using that brand of tripod, and the MICROPlate looks like it would be a nice fit for smaller cameras...

Bikepacking bags?
Is anyone else interested in a drop for bikepacking bags? I'm thinking about something like the Revelate Designs Terrapin or Viscacha: Or maybe the Bedrock Coconino: Enough for a really lightweight setup.

Too funny. Don't buy a manfrotto, vanguard, or bogen tripod. You will be so unhappy.

EDC Pens--What's in Your Bag?
What pens do you carry around on a daily basis? I've assembled a list with writing samples from the pens currently in the bag that follows me to court, to the office, and everywhere in between. I use each pen a little differently. I'll run t...
