i have owned both and imo the yeti is the better mic. this one is decent but the yeti sounds a bit better and offers far more ways to use the mic. if you watch ebay you can find them under 100$ or sometimes on amazon. the other one to look at if you only need Cardioid pattern imo the best usb mic out there is the se electronics x1 usb. it has 24bit 192khz, headphone jack, low cut, 10db pad etc. you can find them brand new on amazon or ebay...
I'm curious about the same thing. From my understanding it should be able to do it because it is USB. I was told that one of the reasons why Mac users would opt for USB is because of multi-track recording, something that apparently Firewire can't do. As for your microphone, there are adapters for everything, whether fanciful or realistic. Here's a link to one that seems promising. Assuming the microphone in question uses XLR of course...
