Farer Watches

Worn and Wound has a real love for this British watch maker, and I am quite intrigued by their recent mechanical chrono release. The big-eye design of the Cobb is an attractive one, IMO. I think some may be put off by the bold use of color, but I find myself drawn to it. The proportions are right in my preferred wheelhouse, too.

I think I like the Seagrave version even more. This colorway reminds me of some Fortis watches that I have admired for some time.

I like their designs but a bit too pricey for me.

These are beautiful, truly. Think I'm a Cobb man myself in this case (and a brown horween strap). Love the toggle feature on the site to see the lume in action as well:

I'm a fan and am currently looking for a Cobb on the used market. That being said, their use of color is bold but hit and miss. Sometimes there's just one too many colors on their dials. I think Farers in general make great third, fourth or fifth watches but might be a little overstyled for wear as an everyday piece.

i like their looks, their mixture of color is a firm hate/love for me. Some models, they just nail the right colors/balance and others im like 'da fuq these peeps thinking'.
OnePunchManYeah, I'm with you - when they miss it is a hard no for me but I think they get it right more often than not.

I saw Farer watches in the metal last year and I remember especially enjoying the compressor case model. The depth and layering of the dials is great. I imagine these chronos will be the same. I think their product photos don't do the bright colors any favors.
