I have a Code Keyboard (Cherry Clears) in the office and a Das 4 Ultimate (Cherry Browns) at home. Both have stock keycaps except the Code has the windows keys replaced by a stick figure running through a portal and the escape key is the stick figure on the exit signs. No fancy keycap sets for me, cuz I'm boring like that haha.

techwizDo you prefer the Clears or the Browns?

SamPittmanSo I've had the Das for about 2 months now and the Code for about 2-3 years and all I can say is that they're both lovely. To fully answer your question, I'd like to offer an analogy:
Cherry switches are like sticks of butter and assuming you want to butter some freshly made toast with a slightly warm knife, cherry clears are like a stick that has been taken out of the fridge just before you cut a bit off and cherry browns are like a stick that's been left out on the counter for a few minutes before you tear into it. Both buttery smooth and incredibly satisfying to cut into (and ultimately your toast is buttered to perfection either way) but one is more slick and soft while the other has a little more of a bite to it.
TL;DR - I guess if I had to choose, I prefer the clears for typing (as a software engineer, this is very important) but the browns for everyday use.

techwizNice mate,
if you ever want to experience a toast crying tears of joy and pleasure, give it some superior Topre butter.
It's a miracle :)

MakamiOnly on the internet will I ever find someone who responds to my stupid butter analogy (which I came up with while bored af during a meeting) with a Queen reference.

SamPittmanYou're welcome and ty.
The best way to beginn and to end a day is with a smile or some laughter (when being alone, what happens every other day).
Keep smiling and have a nice day!
