Who wants a high quality 16850 compact without modes?

more_vert
Like the topic says, who wants a compact, high quality, 18650 based flashlight with 1 button, AND NO STUPID MODES. Or at the least, a separate way of selecting the mode and having it always return to that mode when turned off/on. Personally, I hate button clicks to figure out which mode to put it in, and then many (not all) reset back to the base mode that you have to click through again. Ugh.
So how about it? Can we get enough interested to get a MassDrop Made?

Other things I'd want on such a flashlight:
Pocket clip
Landyard hole
IP67 or better
Very sturdy, probably aluminum, body
And if modes are a must, have a small multi-position switch(s) (remember DIP switches? Something similarly small) inside the back cap to determine the mode, which can be set to give the mode.

I'm using Fenix E01 keychain flashlight, it's a AAA flashlight to use as an EDC light. I'm using this Fenix light for a year and still, it's surviving. It contains an ipx8 waterproof rating and is constructed using aircraft-grade aluminum.

I recently bought a Fenix UC35: a single taillight switch and a mode button (with memory!) up by the head in a single USB rechargeable 18650 format that will also run on 2xCR123.

freqzThat looks pretty nice. I like the option of being able to have a few different modes but only remembers the last one. And the fact that strobe is not in the normal list, but needs to be held down for extra time. Looks like there's a v2 version https://www.fenixlighting.com/product/fenix-uc35-v2-rechargeable-flashlight/

There are plenty of flashlights out there that include a wall plug to be left plugged in all the time. Although those are all awkward, annoying shapes/plastic and certainly not a sturdy aluminum body design. Personally I'd rather not have a charging circuit with the USB port that'd require because that's one more opening in the body, one more plastic plug to lose, and another port to have to ruggedize to IPxx standards.

I’m with you on this one. It would be nice to have an around the house light that my wife could use without having to attend a flashlight course. At least one on/off no frills torch offering would be appreciated. A nice touch would be one which is designed to stay plugged in all the time, ever ready for use. I know there are ones from the past like that, but with all the lighting advances in recent years, a refresh might be in order.
