What typing device would your favorite writer use?

more_vert
Can be a completely made up or very real keyboard/typewriter. What can you imagine sitting on their desk as they write your favorite word things?
For example, Douglas Adams might have a salmon shaped Dinokidz inspired keyboard, with 42 keys, towel artisan keycap, and Topre switches for pleasing sound and feels.

I really have no favourite writer, but I personally would use a typewriter, mechanical or electric (not electronic).

Not quite an author, but I imagine Roddenberry Jr. Would have his keyboard complete with the galaxy class caps

"Our writing tools are also working on our thoughts." - Nietzche
Any serious writer would still use a mechanical typewriter today.

I feel like Hemingway would have a Plank because it is lean and compact and true.

Favorite writer, i've none at the moment.
But my first thought immediatly had been, for whatever reason, Stephen King and Clive Barker would be sitting in a dark cave, lit by candles only, surrounded by bones and skeletons at a large "table", where the blood of the sacrificed virgins still can be seen, writing a novel together with feathers and blood on sheets of "paper" (you know, that virgins skin had been needed for a perfect setup).
OK, i go and take my pills, that voice in my had, telling me to join them, needs to be silenced. Have a nice sleep and good dreams :)
