Product Idea, Large (not huge) 4k Gsync Screen

more_vert
I think there is a hole in the market. I’m used to PC gaming on TVs because the large screen experience is super immersive. The problem is that TVs have annoying software frills, bad response rates, no Gsync/Freesync etc. You can’t really find 4K monitors that are big enough to create this experience. Anything near this size is usually some super wide format and that doesn’t create the same immersiveness IMO. Nvidia has been talking about their 65” 4k displays for almost a year but 1) where are they and 2) I think that is actually too big. I think the perfect monitor specs would be: 1) 40-50” 16:9 aspect ratio 2) 4k resolution 3) support Gsync 4) 120hz or higher (for real not software driven) Does anybody out there agree? Let’s band together!

This sounds like a good idea, but I am not sure there is a large market out there that will spend 2-4 thousands dollars on a display like this. You would also need a pretty powerful PC. If a 35 inch 4K ultrawide costs 1.5K, then adding G-Sync and making a TV would cost a lot of money.
