Lot 42 from the Phillips Geneva Watch Auction

For those who like vintage and adore what started where we are now, Phillips is having the "Geneva Watch" auction this weekend, and some of the pieces they are presenting are nothing short of breathtaking., not the least of which is Lot 42. "Lot 42" is a Rolex ref. 6236 Triple Calendar Chronograph, a 36mm beauty using the manually wound 17 jewel Valjoux Cal. 72c. So many iconic and lovely pieces are in this auction (And a few that aren't in my opinion), but seeing this made me stop and look,
Lots of gorgeous here, you have been cautioned, happy Friday

Gunnersmate2, Dvrdwnp4, and 15 others
remove_red_eye286 too lazy to make post, but here u go SO. happy to see the Akrivia win its group.
For an estimated $41,000-71,700, this could be yours... beautiful though!
The Seikosha Tensoku-Kodei from the 1940's is intriguing and fascinating to me.... A vintage Seiko pilot in an auction for "Geneva" Watches..... 47mm Nickel Case, and apparently many of them don't exist.

My favorite one at auction - Project ALASKA w/ NASA provenance. So f'ing cool.
I love the markers on the subdials. Looks like delta wing airplanes
I know Blaire, I know.....
