The view from my front porch today

more_vert
We got 20 cm of snow last night, with more coming in later this week. Tired as frak of the winter (and, the irony is we had an easy winter this year!).
Enjoy these view of Montreal, Canada!
(edit: I'll add more pics as the week goes by, just scroll down in the thread)

Yeah, it was cold here in Tucson too... the high was 62F (17C): It was so cold I couldn't wear my flip flops today.

Summer can get quite hot here. The city then becomes totally immersed in festivals, nightlife, terrasses, music, outdoor activities and events, etc.
It is the reason why Montreal has been deemed one of the best cities to live in, worldwide, time and time again (Time magazine, Huffington, etc.).
BobrazSummer gets quite hot here too... During the summer we stay indoors during the day (heat stroke is no joke)

It sure seems like we all gripe about where we are vs. where we want to be. ------>>> Wait a sec --- Is this Massdrop or Facebook?? <<< -------

BobrazI'd be happy to swap! It was snowing in London this winter, the deepest was under 1cm, melted within a few hours. That is just a section of London. Nothing overly special 😅

I decided to add pictures of my backyard and my back balcony; pics are taken from the second's floor's balcony, with the back door open. You see there's close to a meter of snow when you open the balcony door! It would be more but for the wind that took a lot off to the neighbor's!

Then below; it's not easy to see on the picture, but basically next to the house we have a back driveway and parking space for two cars, then a regular sized picket fence, and behind that fence, a backyard.
Well, all through winter our contractor blows the driveway's snow further out and in the courtyard, behind the fence. Now the back courtyard has been completely filled by snow, a couple of meters high worth of snow, and it reaches up to the top of the fence!

Brrrrr, good luck digging out! Here's a few shots from our office in SF, where we're finally enjoying three days of sun in a row after rain for months - which we really need after years of drought.

That's the Transamerica Corporation building - the company that built the pointy tower in the other photo many years after this one. It's currently occupied by a Church of Scientology reading room.

Don't know if I could handle that. I love playing in the snow, but living in it is a completely different story.
MikeMDI'll be sure to let you know how it is
