What's the phono preamp? I got the Karousel for my LP12 two weeks ago... now I got an LP12/Karousel/Trampolin/Lingo/Ittok LV-II/Grado Master 1 (low output)... with a DIY custom Pearl 2 phono preamp... CJ PV9 with teflon caps... etc.... the sound iof my LPs is now exceptional, even with LPs that I've owned since '73... The CJ amp is fine... the single most important thing, though, is to get the front end correct! Good start. The thing about the LP12 is the upgrade path... and it just gets better and Better and BETTER! ;-)

That amp is badass!! So cool. I see so many outputs there, what are all those for?

HoffmanMysterTube amps like this CJ often have separate outputs for 4, 8, and 16 ohm speakers, matching separate "taps" on the output transformers. I am currently connected to the 8 ohm outputs as my Legacy Signature III speakers are 6 ohms. I tried the 4 ohm output but they sound better at 8 ohm outputs.
BClarkeVAAhh, that makes good sense. Thanks for the explanation. :)
Yooo this is amazing. What speakers are those? Do you only listen on Vinyl?

TechSamLegacy Audio Signature IIIs for front left and right, Legacy Audio SilverScreen for center. Use the Signature IIIs both with vinyl and home theater, SilverScreen just with home theater.
