There Are Pandas, and Then There Are Pandas.
And this isn't either of them! The Pandas we're talking about here, are watches, not bears. And what got me thinking about them (again) was a link posted this morning by @cm.rook who pointed a few of us to the very attractive (and not terribly priced) Yema "Rallygraph" Panda which, in it's most traditional arrangement, looks like the one on the left, but can also be had in the version on the right: The model on the left is a true Panda, while the model on the right is called a reverse Panda. The reason for that distinction is clear--Panda bears, only come in the first arrangement. Now at this point, everyone should be thinking about the most well-know Panda, The Rolex Panda, which is actually a Daytona, and among Rolex Daytonas, the most famous of which is the Paul Newman Daytona, which was famous first, because it was Paul's, and second because it sold at auction for $17.8 million (US Dollars). Guhhhhhhh.
EDC is whatever someone, anyone, carries every day. Not just you.
It may be a mom/dad with a diaper bag, maybe it is a barista with a certain set of tools, or a carpenter. Not all "EDC" is the same, or will fit your clearly narrow minded perception of such.
I do NOT have a fidget spinner. I have drunkenly purchased a top from massdrop. The Inspirs titanium one with the tritium insert, it is awesome. I would drunkenly purchase it again. I have nothing against fidget spinners, and there are people out there that carry them every day.
Every. Day. Carry. If someone carries it every day, it is EDC, this is basically a concept without limits.
That said I am a knife/light/watch kind of man myself, but if someone is a knife/light/watch/fidget spinner man... Who am I to judge?
Edit. Nice ninja edit about the wall of text.
You should see someone about that hostility.
Knowing this I would consider it an EDC for any ages. It can be very difficult to sit in a boardroom and a classroom.
